      Summary: Exterior views of various landmarks of the Chicago school of architecture. Included are views of John J. Glessner House at 1800 South Prairie Avenue, designed by Henry Hobson Richardson; Marquette Building at 140 South Dearborn Street and Old Colony Building at 407 South Dearborn Street, both designed by Holabird & Roche; Reliance Building at 32 North State Street, designed by Charles Atwood of D. H. Burnham & Co.; Rookery Building at 209 South LaSalle Street, designed by Burnham & Root; and Second Leiter Building (formerly Sears Roebuck & Co.) at 431 South State Street, designed by William Le Baron Jenney. Most views are overall views of the facades, but details of the entrance and upper facade are included for the Rookery Building.

            Includes interior views, in black and white and in color, for the Rookery Building, depicting the central lobby which was remodeled by Frank Lloyd Wright; the elevator lobby, remodeled by William Drummond; spiral stairs in the lightwell; newel post cap; inlaid floor; and three plaques detailing the history of the site, the building, and its status as a landmark.
