Summary:
Interior and exterior views
of the Marina City complex at 300 North State Street, on the Chicago River,
designed by Bertrand Goldberg. Primarily includes views of the completed
mixed-use complex, which consists of two round towers, a theater, and an
adjacent office building (which became a hotel). The upper two-thirds of the
towers house apartments, which have balconies, and the lower third is reserved
for automobile parking and riverfront marina. There are also views of a
detailed model for the building complex, interior views of model apartments,
and a portrait of a man, possibly Goldberg, leaning against a railing in a
model apartment. Some of the apartment interiors show a photo panorama of
Chicago through the windows while others show actual scenery. Also includes a
few views of floor plans and the construction of the building. Details: Views: A: Model,
