            Summary: Includes views of a model for the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs (Colo.), designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Model shows a campus of three-to-six-story, glass-walled buildings set in a hilly terrain. The upper levels of some buildings are cantilevered onto pilotis around the perimeter, and some buildings have interior courtyards. Other views show parts of the campus supported on finned plinths with ramps that extend from the hillside. Some views include the chapel, with its triangular vaults.
