Summary: Includes exterior and interior views of Tinley Park Hospital in Tinley Park (Ill.), designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Exteriors show a low-rise, concrete-frame building clad in brick and glass, with a long, two-story wing of rooms for patients, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a lawn; an adjacent, five- story service core with mechanical equipment visible through glass walls on the top two floors; and a nearby one-story building with window-walls, and colonnades connecting its pavilions. Other exteriors show smaller, boxy, brick-and-glass buildings for services that include water, heating, and electricity, with equipment such as electric switchgear visible through window- walls; a water tower next to the power plant; and a parking lot behind the main building. Interior views include a laboratory facility with a wall of stainless- steel vaults, a lunchroom with food-service counter, and an operating room with stainless-steel furnishings and supply cabinets.
