Summary: Includes exterior and interior views of Drexel National Bank at 3944 South Cottage Grove Avenue in Chicago (Ill.), designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Exterior views include a steel-framed entrance colonnade, with exposed metal roof deck, leading to the glass-walled lobby; drive-up teller stations that project from one of the bank's glass curtain walls; and adjacent parking areas. In some exteriors the Lake Meadows housing complex is visible behind the bank. Interiors show the main banking hall, with terrazzo floor, wood-paneled service counters, officers' desks along one wall, and a luminous ceiling with prominent air diffusers.
