Summary: Includes views of an architectural model
for a high-rise housing development on the Near North Side in Chicago (Ill.),
designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Model shows four boxy,
glass-walled buildings, with colonnades at ground level. The apartment houses,
separated by a series of lawns and plazas, are sited on a strip several blocks
long between Clark and LaSalle streets north of Division Street (current site
of the Sandburg Village condominium complex).
