Photograph of factory, showing lake, on left hand side is chapel built with terra cotta.  William Day Gates was an Episcopalian and he conducted services in the chapel as a Lay Reader for family and employees.  The chapel was on the grounds of American Terra Cotta Company, and adjoined the factory.
