Description of the Collection

Summary: Visual materials relating to Clara Elizabeth Hollis (Kirk

McLean) and family of Chicago and Winnetka. Subjects include family

trips to ranches in Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona (1900s-1920s);

Clara and friends at Bryn Mawr College (ca. 1917-18); family

portraits; and Clara and (second) husband Baxter McLean on their

ranch in Tucson (Ariz.). Also includes albums of Union soldiers from the

Civil War.
