Summary:
Primarily separately mounted photographs and snapshots of
Jackson,
Lincoln, Washington and South Parks in Chicago, and
unidentified
homes and people in Chicago (ca. 1890). Also includes
loose
album pages with unidentified park scenes, people, homes, and
tunnel
construction. Includes a few scenes of the lakefront and
harbor,
grain elevators and a policeman in uniform.
Unmounted
photographs
include unidentified portraits, some inscribed to Tom
Wall, a
manager for the Canadian Pacific Railroad (ca. 1930); and
unidentified
city scenes--a few of which may be in Chicago--that
include
a dentist (ca. 1920) and a general store (ca. 1900).
Miscellaneous
printed illustrations depict Chicago's new buildings
after
the fire, the stockyards, and the Illinois & Michigan canal.
