EARLY SETTLERS OF CHICAGO PORTRAIT ALBUM, CA. 1890

Storage:  Box Lot (1 8 x 10 in. box)

Accession number:  G1986.0478

Description of the Collection

Summary: Individual portraits of Chicago's early male settlers.

Includes prominent as well as lesser known men. Some images seem to

be photographed from paintings or other media rather than from life.

The compilation of the album is somewhat later than the creation of

the portraits as many of those depicted were deceased at that time.

Some manuscript identification includes death dates.
