Description of the collection:

Lantern slide program showing various civic activities of the Club. Included are: improving housing conditions, beach improvements, sewage treatment, and aid to Polish refugees after WWI. Subjects include contrasting tenement and well kept housing, dirty alleys and vacant lots, loading debris from rivers and lake front onto scows, sewage treatment works, people at bathing beaches and the condition of Polish refugees. Also interior views of various rooms inside the Club building. Some lantern slides have copy negatives and prints which are noted on the container list.
