Description of the Collection

 

Includes visual materials relating to “Chicago Magazine”, a monthly feature and entertainment periodical for Chicago and the surrounding area.  Visual materials consist of images that were considered or used for publication.  Topics include buildings and residences; broadcasting; several forms of entertainment including stage plays and musical groups; events including contests, exhibitions, fairs, and parades; judicial proceedings; museums; people (primarily entertainers or politicians); sports; stores; and transportation. Some material shows African Americans.
