Lesson plan:  Beulah Barach and Dorothy Hoffman of Manley High and Hadassah Linderman of Herzl Junior College sing "Come Ye Thankful People, Come."  Virginia Wolf of Jones Commercial High tells of winning an essay contest, sponsored by the Board of Education, in which she won a gold medal for writing an essay on Walt Disney.  Dorothy Hoffman of Manley High sings "Thanks Be to God."  William Maas of Lane Tech High tells about the contest sponsored by the Chicasgo Automobile Association in which he won a prize for writing the slogan:  "Don't be a kicker ... Get a Safety Sticker."  Gladys Zeiher of Amundsen High and Vera Jeske of Lake View High, accompanied by the Senn-Lake View Octette, sing "Barcaroll."  Students in the Radio Workshop of Lane Tech High present an original drama: "The Man of the World."  Naomi LaBree, soprano, and Arthur Nordham, tenor, of Senn High and Richard Champley, baritone, of Lake View High, sing "Let Not the Heart."  George Witerski of Wells High and Helen Neuman of Sullivan High sing "God Bless America."  The roving reporter and announcer cross talk.

Lesson plan:  Chorus of Hyde Park High, directed by Josephine Lee, sings "The Three Kings."  Jane Hallenstein of Lake View High tells the story of how 14 members of the Lake View accapella choir went for an airplane ride with Santa Claus and were greeted at the airport by Mayor Kelly.  Chorus sings "Ride Out on Wings of Song."  Norman Rothbart, president of the graduating class of Sullivan High tells about the school's alumni organization and about events preceding graduation.  Eleanore Absie of Wells High sings "The Little Damozel."  W. P. Klingensmith of the Industrial Arts Laboratories of the Chicago Public Schools explains the functions of the laboratories and the Christmas project, where the labs make about 10,000 toys each Christmas and then give them to the Children's Aid Society, which distributes them to needy children.  Chorus sings "The Long Day Closes."  Members of the Central Radio Workshop enact a play about a girl named Sue.  Arthur Aerts from the brand new Taft High sings "Twilight on the Trail."  The roving reporter and announcer cross talk.  Chorus sings.  [Additional material]

Lesson plan:  A sextette, made up of students from Lindblom, Tuley and Waller High Schools, sing "Deck the Halls."  William King, a blind student from Wendell Phillips High, tells about his winning essay "An Ideal American."  Irene Brill from Tuley High sings "Jesu Bambino."  Sextette sings "Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem."  The roving reporter and announcer cross talk.  Announcement of an art exhibit, the work of students of the Chicago Public Schools, known as "Christmas in Art" is being shown in the Chicago Public Library.  Crane High's R.OT.C. unit is planning a military ball and also planning a contest to find the most beautiful coed in the Chicago High Schools to lead the grand march.  Lindblom High auto shop students are ready to check student cars to assure them that the vehicles will pass Chicago's safety lane tests.  Morgan Park High owns a rare harp, built in 1889 at a cost of $10,000.  Parker High art students and students from English classes as well as the shop classes have produced and are selling calendars, the proceeds from which will go to the print shop and the camera club to enable them to buy equipment.

The lunchroom of Englewood High took a poll to determine the favorite foods of students.  Alma Bedrit of Tuley High sings "Cantique de Noel."  Mary Agnes Tynan recites her original story of Jedra and the first Christmas.  Sextette sings "Twelve Days of Christmas."

Wojakak of the Crane Tech High R.O.T.C. tells about his winnings as a rifle champion.  Ruth Brouton of Steinmetz High sings "The Sandman."  Patricia Sime of Steinmetz High sings "The Prayer."  Bud Lauerman, president of the Morgan Park Student Association, Fay Trolander, vice president, Patsy McCune, 2nd vice president, and Bob Telander, secretary-treasurer, tell about one of the most unique and complete forms of student government of any school in the city.  Linne Brandes from Steinmetz High sings "The Dew Fairy."  Patricia Sime and Frances Kotfila from Steinmetz igh sing "Waltz Duet."  Warren K.
