The Vogel-Peterson
Co. sold garment racks and coat room devices, open-plan office components; adjustable steel wall-mounted and floor

uniform and choir robe racks, umbrella, baggage and overshoe racks, bath-house
racks, fold-away checkrooms and checkroom equipment, concealed and semiconcealed wardrobes, closet accessories, hangers and
garment hanging equipment, clothes closet rods, garment carriers, shelves, panels,
costumers, room divider wardrobes; space dividers, partitions, portable
chalkboard and corkboard ...
History: The Chicago-area
company was founded by the Magnuson family; sold to Beatrice Foods in the 1960s
and continued to be run by the Magnuson family until 1983. Acquired by the ECK Adams Company, which went
out of business in 2005. The Vogel-Peterson Furniture Company name rights then
were purchased by the Magnuson Group.
