Biographical note:
Nina Polcyn Moore was the manager and owner of St. Benet’s Book Shop at Wabash and Congress Streets in Chicago (Ill.) from 1943 to 1973 and was associate director of the Sheil School of Social Studies from 1942 to 1953. She was also a social activist and leader of the National Association of Laymen and the Chicago Conference on Laity from 1967 to 1968.
