Summary description of the collection:

Reports by public and private task forces, news clippings, and speeches pertaining to community development, produced and/or collected by Judith Walker, Commissioner of the Department of Human Services, Chicago (Ill.), under Mayor Washington and Mayor Sawyer. Topics include economic development, apparel manufacturing, homelessness, neighborhood revitalization, at-risk youth and unemployment. In addition is the Longer Term Care in Chicago: Planning for the Year 2000 report.
